Job Description:

EDUCATION

• HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE

• CST-Certified Surgical Technologist preferred
• BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required

EXPERIENCE

• 3-5 years Minimum three year experience in Labor and Delivery as Obstetrical Technician
• Surgical Technician training preferred
• Experience in basic computer skills preferred.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Basic knowledge of obstetrical/medical terminology is desirable.
• Knowledge of Aseptic technique.
• Surgical scrub procedures, use of sterile technique, instruments, and set-up procedures for the delivery/OR room.
• Knowledge of the anesthesia cart and equipment.
