Position Summary:
Supervises team of assemblers, including training, coaching, and giving feedback of overall performance. Creates foam inlays to be placed in either wood crate or case as a production team member to meet customer specifications for quality and on-time delivery. Responsible for logging in and out of jobs in Ops Center (scheduling system) and following production schedules. Responsible for following safety and personal protective equipment requirements.

Essential Functions: Top 3-5 essential functions and percentage of time spent on each.
- Supervises team for safe and efficient production standards
- Trains and coaches other assemblers to ensure work is performed as expected for safety, quality and production deadlines.
- Â May require maintaining certifications or licenses in order to properly train team members in proper handling (saws, dye press, pallet jack, adhesives, etc.)
- Gives feedback about performance and job expectations to ensure respectful accountability. May manage time and attendance system and team member schedules for start/stop, meal and rest periods and time-off.Â
- Foam Assembly
- Safe use of band saws (vertical/ horizontal), Dye Press, utility knives or other blades to cut foam to customer specifications.
- Use production software and other site-specific production line paths to tract jobs.
- Foam Application
- Adhere glue to cases, crates or other pieces of foam using adhesives, glue and hot air to seal foam.
- Safe and Efficient Facility Team Member
- Address and report all equipment defects or maintenance needs to maintain safe and efficient use. Follow all procedures, policies and know the equipment before using it.
- Speak up when observing something that may be unsafe or someone performing unsafe acts.
- Efficiently perform work according to standard operating procedures.
- Work together with other team members to accomplish tasks safely in a fast-paced production environment.

Marginal Functions:
Housekeeping: sweeping and disposing of scrap foam/lumber or other miscellaneous items.
Perform other related work as assigned.
Education/Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
Required
- Willingness to use heat sealers, utility knives, machinery and varying textures of foam.
- Basic computer skills needed to log in and out of jobs with employee identification number.
- Ability to learn new software.
Preferred
- Prior experience leading or guiding a team
- Prior experience in a manufacturing setting
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Bilingual English-Spanish speaker
- Strong organization skills
