Requirements

Qualifications:

1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge of measuring tools (dial calipers, ID gauges, thread gauges, height gauges, etc).

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Able to identify and resolve complex problems.

Ability to focus attention on details.

Functions & Responsibilities:

Independently sets up and operates conventional, special purpose, and/or numerical control (NC) cutting machines to fabricate stainless steel components.

Work independently cutting tube.

Possess comprehensive knowledge of machining practices, measurement and evaluation skills, and tooling applications.

Complete machine setups on a wide variety of specialized and production equipment. Generate first article/first piece of product for inspection. Make required adjustments to equipment or programming to maintain compliance with quality standards.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.

Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points on material or workpiece as guides for subsequent machining.

Selects aligns and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials.

Calculates to regulate cutting machining factors.

Sets up and operates cutting machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data where applicable.

Use, knowledge of measuring tools (dial calipers, ID gauges, thread gauges, height gauges, etc).

Collaborates with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining problems.

May provide training to other team members.

Performs other duties as assigned.
