We are seeking a highly skilled Asset Manager to oversee the maintenance, tracking, and operational efficiency of material handling equipment and outbound operations equipment across multiple sites. This individual will serve as the subject matter expert on all operational assets, ensuring all preventive maintenance schedules, repairs, and compliance requirements are met. They will be responsible for managing internal coordination and vendor relationships while maintaining accurate asset records within the SAP ERP system.

 

You will serve as the primary point of contact for vendors, managing relationships to ensure timely service, repairs, and the acquisition of warranty information and maintenance plans. You will work cross-functionally with engineering and operations teams on new equipment purchases to integrate them into the maintenance database, while also developing and maintaining an annual budget for all maintenance and spare parts. Additionally, this position requires the ability to travel to various locations to meet vendors, oversee installations, and maintain assets.

In this role, you will:
  • Develop and manage the preventative maintenance schedule for all operational equipment to ensure minimal downtime and strict compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Ensure the active fleet of trucks and trailers follows routine maintenance procedures per DOT guidelines.
  • Manage the lockout/tagout (LOTO) process to ensure full compliance with safety standards.
  • Tag all assets and maintain an updated equipment registry to ensure accurate tracking.
  • Manage and track spare parts inventory, including the ordering, receiving, and delivering of parts to points of use as requested.
  • Develop and conduct training programs for operations team members regarding equipment maintenance best practices.
  • Travel domestically 10-25% of the year


Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in warehouse equipment maintenance and fleet management, with a deep understanding of DOT regulations.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Experience working with an active fleet of vehicles, including DMV and DOT compliance
  • Strong knowledge of forklifts, battery maintenance, and material handling assets such as flow racks and conveyance carts.
  • Experience in vendor management, including contracts, scheduling, and compliance.
  • Strong understanding of LOTO safety procedures and OSHA regulations.


Bonus Qualifications
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies (5S, Six Sigma, LEAN, Agile, etc.)
  • Experience with automated storage systems such as VLM and ASRS
  • Expertise with simulation software for logistics and supply chain operations.

$145,000 - $183,000 a year
There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. The listed range applies only to the base salary. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
