Job Description Summary

This position is a key contributor within the corporate tax organization, primarily focused on supporting and executing the Company’s income tax accounting and reporting responsibilities under ASC 740. The Manager, Tax Accounting and Reporting will assist with the preparation, review, and analysis of the quarterly and annual income tax provision and related tax reporting deliverables, while also supporting broader tax reporting, compliance coordination, and process improvement initiatives. The role requires strong technical tax accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across tax, finance, and accounting teams. This role works closely with the Senior Manager, Tax Accounting.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and review of the quarterly and annual consolidated income tax provision under ASC 740, including current and deferred taxes, uncertain tax positions, and effective tax rate analyses

  • Support the integration of acquired business units or entities into the consolidated income tax provision and tax returns, including understanding key tax adjustments and identified risks

  • Assist with the income tax reporting analysis of internal transactions and business changes, collaborating with tax planning and other tax team members as appropriate

  • Support the preparation of tax reporting deliverables, including US and international tax returns, provision-to-return analyses, variance explanations, and management reporting

  • Monitor U.S. tax legislation and regulatory developments and assist with evaluating and documenting the impact on the Company’s tax accounting and reporting

  • Assist with SOX documentation, internal controls, and support of income tax–related audit procedures

  • Coordinate with external advisors and respond to information requests from external auditors in connection with tax accounting and reporting matters

  • Support the administration and use of OneSource tax provision and reporting technology tools, including data gathering and validation

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the tax accounting and tax reporting compliance cycle

  • Partner effectively with other corporate tax, accounting, and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting

  • Assist in the training and development of our tax accountants and senior tax accountants

  • Contribute to a strong control-focused tax environment

 
Qualifications

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required (MST a plus)

  • CPA strongly preferred

  • 5+ years of tax accounting experience working with public company income tax provisions in an in-house or national accounting firm setting

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of income tax accounting and reporting concepts

  • Proficient in Onesource tax provision and compliance software

  • Ability to analyze and support accounting conclusions related to complex transactions

  • Solid technical judgement with appropriate escalation of issues and risks

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage completing deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to collaborate across functions and interact with internal and external stakeholders

  • High integrity and commitment to controls and corporate governance

  • Travel not required
