Job Description Summary

The Program

Par Health offers an 11-week internship program designed to provide an immersive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. As a Par Health Intern, you’ll have the chance to contribute to meaningful projects that align with your field of study. This program allows you to apply classroom knowledge in a real-world corporate setting while building valuable connections through networking opportunities across the organization.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The End User Computing Help Desk IT Intern is a technical position in the Information Technology department. This position provides first-level technical support, troubleshooting user issues with hardware, software, and networks. This position will also assist with setting up new equipment, migrating users, documenting problems and assisting other IT staff. Additional tasks will include answering tickets, installing software, resolving printer and access problems.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Respond to IT requests via phone, email or in-person; trouble shoot technical issues (e.g. log in problems connectivity.  
  • Assist with computer setup, installation, configuration and maintenance (e.g. updates, patches)
  • Document, track, and prioritize support tickets, escalating more complex issues to senior technicians.
  • Help deploy new devices (laptops, mobile devices) and manage inventory
  • Provide basic guidance and training to users on IT systems.
  • Contribute to the knowledge base with solutions and common issues.
  • Other duties as assigned by leader.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

Currently pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Business etc.
 

Skills/Competencies:

  • Technical Proficiency – Basic understanding of computers and mobile devices
  • Analytical Abilities - Problem-solving skills including working collaboratively with others
  • Customer Service-Orientation
  • Communication skills - Clear verbal & written communication skills
