Keep Production Flowing. We’re looking for a reliable Strapper Operator to join our sawmill team. This essential role ensures that every bundle of lumber leaving our facility is tightly secured, organized, and ready for shipment. If you take pride in precision, safety, and efficiency, this is your chance to make a direct impact on our operation. Position Summary The Strapper Operator is responsible for operating strapping machines to secure lumber bundles according to company and safety standards. This position ensures product stability, supports production flow, and helps maintain a clean, safe work environment. Key Responsibilities Operate automatic or manual strapping machines to secure lumber bundles Inspect bundles for proper alignment, size, and stability before strapping Adjust strap tension and placement to meet quality and safety standards Replace strapping materials and perform minor equipment maintenance Identify and report equipment malfunctions or production issues Assist with stacking, organizing, and staging finished product Maintain a clean and safe work area, following all safety protocols QualificationsQualifications Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or sawmill experience preferred Ability to operate strapping machinery efficiently and safely Strong attention to detail and quality Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues Ability to perform physical tasks: lifting, bending, standing for long periods Dependable, team-oriented, and safety-conscious
