This role is essential to maintain production efficiency, product quality, and workflow within the sawmill. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment. Key Responsibilities: Operate and monitor the sorter system to ensure lumber is directed into the correct bins Visually inspect lumber for size, grade, and quality to ensure proper sorting Communicate with sawmill team to maintain consistent production flow Clear jams, remove debris, and assist with troubleshooting minor equipment issues Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sorter area Perform routine checks to ensure equipment is functioning properly Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors promptly QualificationsQualifications: Previous experience in a sawmill, manufacturing, or industrial setting is a plus, but not required.
