Job DetailsJob Location: Jeff Davis Hospital - Hazlehurst, GA 31539 Maintain an accurate and detailed record of patient care provided. Complete assessments and histories in a timely manner as outline in the policy and procedures, review LPN assessments per policy and procedure. Work with other team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patients’ plans of care. Directs and/or supervises direct patient care performed by other nursing staff members. Maintain a cooperative relationship with physicians, ancillary departments and members of administration to provide the patient with quality care. Administers medications and treatments according to established policies and procedures, and standards of care set by the state board of nursing and other governing agency regulations Provides quality, age specific care that demonstrates warmth and compassion Perform supervisory duties in the absence of Charge Nurse, such as staff assignments, security rounds and assistance in patient care areas as needed. QualificationsQualifications: Associate’s degree in nursing. Current Georgia RN licensure. Current CPR, ACLS and PALS certification within 1 year of hire. Six months to one-year experience or training; preferred. The equivalent combination of education and experience.   Additional Qualifications: Charge Nurse Preceptorship required if less than 2 years prior experience as Unit Director, Supervisor or Charge Nurse   Additional Requirements: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the public. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardizations exist. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Knowledge of new trends and techniques in nursing. Kind, courteous, friendly and sincere manner. Tactful, sympathetic and patient. Dependable and accurate. Recognizes importance of setting a good example for others. Interest in learning and professional growth.
