This role is pivotal in maintaining production schedules, optimizing machine performance, and ensuring safety standards are met in an industrial setting. Key Responsibilities: - Operate and monitor sawmill machinery to ensure optimal performance and output. - Provide leadership and guidance to a team of operators, ensuring adherence to company policies and safety regulations. - Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to prevent downtime and ensure operational efficiency. - Troubleshoot and resolve any mechanical issues that may arise during operations. - Collaborate with the production team to meet daily and weekly production targets. - Maintain accurate records of production data, equipment performance, and maintenance activities. - Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. - Assist in training and developing new operators to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge. - Communicate effectively with management and other departments to coordinate activities and resolve issues promptly. QualificationsRequired Education: - High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in industrial operations or a related field is preferred. Required Experience: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in a sawmill or similar industrial environment. - Proven experience in operating and maintaining sawmill machinery and equipment. - Experience in a leadership or supervisory role within an industrial setting is highly desirable.
