HR Coordinator – Human Resources
Position Summary:Â Provide HR support for a high-volume DC workforce, who facilitates the processing and distribution of merchandise in a cost effective, safe and customer service oriented manner. Work among a team of HR professionals to support and develop the distribution center team through talent acquisition, internal movement, and associate retention.Â

- Ensure quality customer service standards are met in an efficient and innovative manner; answering and assisting associate requests and general questions regarding policies, leaves of absence, pay issues, and other administrative functions.Â
- Encourage the two-way communication process and reinforce AEO’s Open Door Policy. Provide professional and impactful written and verbal translation support in Spanish and English.
- Support the Talent Acquisition lifecycle for DC Hourly associates. This includes serving as a subject-matter expert for AEO’s internal and external staffing strategies and tools.Â
- Support new hire onboarding by conducting new hire orientation as necessary as well as entering updates into the HRIS and timekeeping systems.
- Play a key role in vendor relations for contingent labor staffing by processing temp to hire conversions of contract workers to full-time hourly positions
- Use workforce planning tools and metrics to advise on staffing needs and challenges. Â
- Process internal promotions, interest to move process, lateral moves and shift transfersÂ
- Assist department with administrative functions:Â
- Maintain, organize and prepare orientation folders and personnel filesÂ
- Ensure privacy of personnel data regarding personnel records      Â
- Assist with annual Benefits Open Enrollment and Culture Survey communication and activities.Â
- Promote and maintain high employee morale and safety.Â
- Other duties as assigned.Â
Qualifications:Â
- Associates degree and/or experience is required but the ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related fieldÂ
- 2+ years of previous Human Resources experience is preferredÂ
- Bi-lingual skills required: English/Spanish. Professional translation experience preferred.Â
- Exceptional interpersonal, oral and business writing communication skills, including a strong telephone presence.
- Ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment, with critical attention to detail, organizational skills and accurate reporting.Â
- High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Google Workspace, & Internet applications
- Must be able to work flexible hours when needed.Â
Pay/Benefits Information:
- Actual starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant experience and location.
