Production Supervisor

Location: Onsite in Hazleton, PA

Shift: 2nd shift, Monday – Friday at 2:30 pm to 11:30pm

Reports To: Plant Superintendent (with additional support from Plant Manager)

Position Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for supporting daily manufacturing operations by ensuring production schedules are achieved safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards. This role works closely with MRP, Customer Service, and plant leadership to coordinate production activities, optimize manpower utilization, maintain accurate production data, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, hands-on leader who can effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, solve problems, manage changing priorities, and promote a culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and promote all quality systems, procedures, and production standards to ensure products meet or exceed company expectations. 
  • Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, including corporate, federal, state, and local requirements. 
  • Collaborate with MRP and Customer Service to develop and execute weekly and monthly production schedules. 
  • Train production employees to improve productivity, efficiency, and achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs). 
  • Monitor production operations and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and maintain product quality. 
  • Provide daily production updates, including line status, production challenges, root causes, and corrective/preventative actions. 
  • Ensure accurate tracking and entry of production data into company systems. 
  • Manage inventory counts of in-process raw materials and generate requisitions for production supplies. 
  • Oversee ordering and inventory of personal protective equipment (PPE) for production employees. 
  • Assist with production staffing, manpower planning, and effective utilization of production crews. 
  • Provide coverage for Shift Supervisors during vacations or other absences, as needed. 
  • Be available for after-hours plant support as necessary, including on-call availability. 
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

  • Demonstrated leadership ability with a proactive approach to identifying challenges and driving results. 

Required Qualifications

  • Bi-lingual in Spanish 
  • High School Diploma or GED 
  • Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing or industry experience, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. 
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record. 
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and provide on-call support when needed. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. 
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
