As a Full Time Sales Associate at Bradley Caldwell Inc., you will play a crucial role in delivering exemplary customer service while interacting with customers and fellow associates. Your responsibilities will include supporting sales targets and performing assigned tasks efficiently. While no prior experience is required, we strongly prefer candidates with retail experience or knowledge in specialized areas such as pets, equine, wild birds, or lawn and garden. This position requires availability on weekends, specifically Saturday and Sunday, allowing you to contribute valuable insights and expertise during peak shopping times.

You must be proficient in operating a cash register and using a computer for sales transactions and inventory management. The ability to assemble merchandise and execute price changes or markdowns efficiently will ensure a streamlined shopping experience for our customers. Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • Operate a cash register/computer; Assemble merchandise; Execute price changes/markdowns; Assist customers with product information and loading purchases; Effective merchandising; Perform other job duties as assigned

Essential Physical Requirements:

o Ability to move and transfer merchandise, weighing up to 50 pounds, throughout the store.

o Ability to push and pull merchandise up to 2,000 pounds with the assistance of proper material handling equipment (e.g. pallet jack)

o Ability to occasionally lift or reach merchandise overhead.

o Ability to frequently stand, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, bend, stoop, and climb ladders.

o Ability to move throughout the store for an entire shift.

o Ability to stand for a prolonged period of time.

o Ability to safely access all areas of the store including selling floor, side lot, stock area, mezzanine and register area.

o Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run a store (e.g. dolly, hand truck, computer, cash register)

o Ability to constantly operate store equipment such as computers, cash registers, and other standard store equipment.

o Ability to read, write, and count accurately to complete all documentation.

o Ability to utilize strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively with sales associates and customers.

o Ability to process information / merchandise through the point-of-sale system.

o Ability to successfully complete all required training.
