About the role

 

Our Longview team, composed of 42 people, and focuses on safely manufacturing hydrogen peroxide.

 

As an Operator, you will have three years to qualify in the Unit Lab, Shipping, Outside, and DCS.  You will rotate through these positions once qualified, working a rotating four-on, four-off, Days/Nights, 12 hour shift schedule.   

 

You will be accountable for:

 

    • Collecting process samples, running lab analyses on process samples, assessing the need for process changes based on analytical results, and documenting results & actions. 
    • Ensure railcar and trailer loading/unloading schedules and orders are followed under Solvay’s quality control procedures and completed on time. 
    • Monitoring field equipment (by inspection & instrumentation – walking rounds, observing pressures, levels and temperatures on vessels and rotating equipment or using other visual/audible indication), adjusting, and troubleshooting equipment as needed. 
    • Assure administrative duties are completed in an accurate and timely manner: checklist, lockouts, paperwork (reading sheets, inspections, etc.).
    • Monitoring all aspects of chemical process production by a Distributive Control System (DCS).

About you

 

High School Diploma or GED required.

    • Safe, efficient operations and compliance with Solvay Life Saving Rules and Site Safety Rules.
    • Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and with Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements.
    • On time production and shipment of products while meeting or exceeding customer requirements.

About the pay and benefits

 

  • Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. The base pay expected for this role is: $35.32 per hour in the United States with the opportunity to progress through a defined training and qualification pathway to $54.79 per hour within three years. Your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
