We partner with organizations to design and deliver transformational solutions across Workday HCM, Financials, and Talent. As we continue to expand our Talent practice, we are seeking a Principal Consultant with deep Workday Talent expertise to lead complex engagements and drive exceptional client outcomes.

The Role

The Principal Consultant, Workday Talent is a client-facing implementation leader responsible for designing, configuring, and deploying Workday Talent solutions. This role focuses exclusively on client delivery and execution across full lifecycle implementations.

The ideal candidate brings deep functional expertise in Workday Talent and can confidently lead complex design discussions, drive configuration strategy, and ensure successful go-lives.

This role is remote-first with travel aligned to client needs.

Key Responsibilities

Client Implementation Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end Workday Talent implementations for external clients

  • Facilitate discovery and design workshops

  • Translate business requirements into scalable Workday Talent solutions

  • Provide subject matter expertise across Talent & Performance, Succession, Talent Reviews, Skills, and Career

Solution Design & Configuration

  • Own functional design documentation

  • Lead configuration of Workday Talent modules

  • Validate system design with client stakeholders

  • Partner with Integration and Technical teams to support data loads and integrations

Testing & Deployment

  • Develop and execute testing strategy

  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT)

  • Guide clients through go-live readiness

  • Troubleshoot and resolve configuration issues

Client Advisory

  • Provide best practice recommendations aligned to Workday functionality

  • Ensure alignment between system configuration and client talent strategy

  • Support release management discussions related to Workday updates

Travel Expectations

  • Travel up to20–30%, depending on client requirements

  • Travel typically tied to key milestones such as design workshops or go-live

  • Majority of delivery conducted virtually

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on Workday Talent implementation experience

  • Active Workday Talent & Performance certification required

  • Experience leading full lifecycle Workday implementations

  • Strong understanding of performance management, succession planning, and talent review processes

  • Ability to lead client workshops and executive-level conversations

  • Consulting experience strongly preferred
