The Sr. IT Budget Analyst is responsible for analyzing, developing, and monitoring IT budgets to ensure alignment with organizational goals. This role provides financial insights through data analysis and reporting, supports decision-making through data analytics, and ensures adherence to financial policies and procedures within Information Technology.
This position is located in Springfield, MO.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Develop, manage, and monitor IT budgets; track performance and report variances.
- Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver financial reports along with insights that support decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Support forecasting, cost management, and budget planning processes.
- Provide guidance and interpretation on financial data to stakeholders.
- Conduct ad hoc analysis and reporting for business needs as required.
- Collaborate cross-functionally within IT to gather data and align financial plans.
- Assist in developing and improving financial processes and controls.
- Maintain data accuracy and integrity within IT financial systems.
- Respond to internal inquiries related to budgets and financial processes.
- Continuously build knowledge of financial practices, tools, and industry trends particularly in the IT industry.
SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
- 3–6+ years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or financial planning.
- Experience working with financial systems, reporting tools, and large data sets.
DESIRED
- Experience with enterprise financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, or similar platforms).
- Knowledge of data visualization or advanced analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL, DOMO)
