Assist in administering the sale of beverages in outlet, lounge, and banquet functions, as well as teaching and mentoring bartenders, servers, and other associates involved in the sale of alcoholic beveragesÂ
Guide guests through the wine list, offering detailed descriptions and recommendations based on their preferences and menu selections.Â
Engage guests in discussions about wine, answering questions, sharing insights, and providing memorable anecdotes or stories about featured wines.Â
Educate associates about wine regions, grape varietals, flavor profiles, and food pairings through training sessions, tastings, and educational materials.Â
Conduct associate training on wine service standards, including proper decanting, pouring, and presentation techniques.Â
Provide ongoing mentorship and support to develop the wine knowledge and service skills of team members.Â
Maintain the wine cellar in optimal condition, ensuring proper temperature, humidity, and storage conditions to preserve wine quality.Â
Conduct regular inventory audits, monitor wine aging, and track cellar rotation to minimize waste and maximize profitability.Â
Work with restaurant management to oversee beverage costs and pricingÂ
Maintain wine and cocktail lists with Bartenders and Beverage Managers Â
Attend daily pre-shift meetingÂ
Deliver on guests’ expectations and have the desire to create WOW momentsÂ
Perform additional duties as assigned that may be outside of the normal scope of duties, based on business needsÂ

The pay scale* for this position is $19.04.Â
