General Manager Cincinnati, OH |  Full-Time (on-Site)  |  $90,000 – $150,000 base salary + Bonus POSITION SUMMARY The General Manager (GM) is the senior leader and single point of accountability for a Radiant Global Logistics (RGL) company-owned Station within our third-party freight forwarding network. The GM owns the full P&L and is responsible for operational execution, team leadership, customer growth and retention, and overall financial performance at the site. This role requires an entrepreneurial operator — someone who leads their Station like it's their own business — balanced with adherence to corporate governance, compliance, and stakeholder commitments. The ideal candidate translates operational data into actionable insight, adapts quickly to shifts in the freight and logistics landscape, drives commercial growth across existing and prospective customers, and shows up every day to lead, coach, and motivate their team toward peak performance. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Operational Leadership Own end-to-end Station operations — domestic and international freight forwarding, sales, and carrier/vendor management. Monitor daily operational KPIs and act quickly when performance drifts from target. Ensure safety, service quality, and regulatory compliance across all site operations. Customer Growth & Development Own the commercial relationship for the Station's customer base, personally engaging top accounts to protect and grow revenue. Partner with sales to win new business and identify cross-sell/up-sell opportunities across the service portfolio. Proactively resolve service issues and escalations to protect customer satisfaction and retention. Team Leadership & Development Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing Station team, with clear accountability for performance. Lead daily huddles to align priorities, review performance, and reinforce a culture of ownership and urgency. Coach and develop talent through regular feedback, building bench strength for key roles. Financial Success Own the Station's P&L — revenue growth, margin management, and cost control against budget. Use operational and financial data to identify trends and drive corrective action on margin or performance gaps. Ensure compliance with corporate governance, financial controls, and stakeholder reporting obligations.   REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in freight forwarding, third-party logistics (3PL), transportation, or supply chain operations, including 3+ years in a P&L-owning or general management role. Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree. Experience operating within a multi-station network with corporate reporting requirements, a plus. Strong working knowledge of freight forwarding operations, including domestic/international transportation modes, customs brokerage basics, and carrier management. Proven track record of driving revenue growth and margin improvement through customer retention and new business development. Skilled at using operational and financial data/reporting tools to identify trends and drive decisions (e.g., TMS platforms, Excel, BI/reporting dashboards). Demonstrated success managing multi-functional teams (operations, customer service, sales) at a single-site or business-unit level. Excellent people-leadership skills, with experience hiring, developing, and holding teams accountable to performance standards. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence customers, employees, and corporate stakeholders alike.   KEY ATTRIBUTES Entrepreneurial mindset — treats the Station like an owned business while respecting the boundaries of corporate governance. Data-driven — comfortable translating operational metrics into clear, decisive action. Agile — adapts quickly to shifting market conditions, customer demands, and industry disruption. Commercially minded — actively pursues growth rather than waiting for it. Hands-on leader — present on the floor daily, driving energy, accountability, and performance through direct engagement with the team.   WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN THE FIRST YEAR Station consistently meets or exceeds budgeted revenue and margin targets, with clear line of sight into the drivers of any variance. Core operational KPIs are stable or trending upward, with visible, data-backed action plans behind any underperforming metric. An engaged team in place, with identified successors and active development plans for key roles. Daily huddles and coaching routines are embedded as habit, reflected in measurable gains in team accountability and performance consistency. Top customer accounts have been personally engaged, with retention maintained or improved and at least one tangible growth story (expansion, cross-sell, or new account win) to point to. Corporate leadership has full confidence in the Station's compliance posture, financial controls, and reporting accuracy, with no material audit or governance findings.   WORK SCHEDULE & ENVIRONMENT This role requires a regular on-site presence at the Station, and flexibility to respond to off-hours operational needs (early mornings, evenings, weekends) as freight volume and customer needs require. Some regional travel may be required for customer visits, corporate meetings, or network events.   PHYSICAL DEMANDS Regularly required to walk, sit, use hands and fingers for computer work, reach, talk, and hear. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, and peripheral vision, with ability to adjust focus.   COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Salary Range: $90,000 – $150,000 Annual. Starting pay is based on multiple factors, including education, work experience, skills, and job-related knowledge. Additional Compensation: Bonuses and variable incentive programs base on Station profits Featured Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance (employee and family coverage) Company-paid basic life insurance Short-Term & Long-Term Disability insurance Health Savings Account with company contributions Flexible Spending Account options 401(k) retirement savings plan with 3.5% employer match 80 hours of front-loaded Sick Pay 80 hours of Vacation Pay annually, with increases based on tenure 7 paid holidays per year Employee Assistance Program (EAP)   ABOUT RADIANT Radiant Logistics, Inc.
