Material Handlers provide general labor support to production, pack-on-demand lines, or other areas by assembling trays and lids, feeding tapers, palletizing, and configuring gift orders to ensure expedited processing of customer orders.Â

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Â
- Build pallets according to storage specifications, ensuring pallet pattern meets all requirements.Â
- Ensure quality assurance and vendor compliance specifications are met.Â
- Physically stack and unstack pallets.Â
- Support the shipping line by maintaining a constant flow of product or removal.Â
- Read SKU numbers and sort product by size/SKU of box to prepare for loading.Â
- Perform other duties and work in other departments as assigned.Â
- Adhere to all SQF (Safe Quality Foods) guidelines.Â
- Maintain reasonable and reliable attendance.Â
Education and/or Experience:Â
- Some high school education is required.Â
- Ability to communicate with employees at all levels (peers, leadership, and employees).Â
- Basic reading skills (English).Â
Â
Physical Demand and Work Effort:Â
- Able to perform repetitive tasks (walking, bending, twisting, and using hands, wrists, and arms).Â
- Perform general housekeeping (break down boxes, remove trash, sweep, etc.).Â
- Light assembly duties.Â
- Limited lifting.Â

Requirements:Â
- Ability to read and follow written instructions and labels.Â
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate product sorting and handling.Â
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. frequently.Â
- Comfortable working in varying temperatures ranging from -10°F to 40°F.Â
- Must be reliable, punctual, and demonstrate a positive team-oriented attitude.Â
- Able to work assigned shift hours, including overtime or weekends if required.Â
- Willingness to cross-train and assist in other departments as needed.Â
