The Staff Pad is partnering with a leading non-profit healthcare system in Helena, Montana to hire a Technical Supervisor – Ultrasound.

This role offers the opportunity to lead in a state-of-the-art Diagnostic Imaging department while still working hands-on in ultrasound, ensuring exceptional quality, patient experience, and team performance. As a subject matter expert and go-to resource, you will collaborate with department leadership, oversee modality operations, and provide direct mentorship to staff.


What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the technical lead and resource for all ultrasound staff, ensuring workflow adherence, high-quality imaging, and patient-centered care.

  • Maintain quality control programs, oversee equipment performance, and act as the liaison with vendors and Biomed services.

  • Evaluate staff competencies, identify training needs, and ensure ongoing professional development.

  • Support department leadership in hiring, scheduling, performance feedback, and employee engagement.

  • Optimize exam scheduling, manage resources, and monitor productivity to meet department goals.

  • Collaborate with radiologists to update and implement protocols.

  • Facilitate clinical problem-solving and serve as a role model for students and staff.

  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and oversee modality records.



Requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • Current registry in ultrasound with at least 2 years of modality-specific experience.

  • Montana licensure (or ability to obtain) where applicable.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor, train, and evaluate staff.

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
