Claims Entry Team Lead

Location: 

Helena, Montana, Onsite

Pay Rate: 

$18 – 21/hr based on experience

Shift Information: 

Standard work hours are either 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. or 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday with the possibility of flexible hours. 

Job Summary: 

As the Team Lead of the claims entry team, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day claims entry processing activities, ensuring claim information is accurately entered and maintained within the system. This role supports data integrity, timely and accurate claims processing, and adherence to established procedures and performance expectations.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Acts as a lead, coordinating the work of others, but is not a supervisor
  • Provides subject matter guidance to junior team members
  • Collaborate with supervisors on key performance measures set by the client
  • Tracks/monitors daily and monthly reporting
  • Participates in progress improvement without impacting the quality of work
  • Ensures quality and volume is met during shifts
  • Completes assignments and facilitates the work of others
  • Participates in meetings with internal teams and external clients
  • Review documents for completeness and accuracy before data entry
  • Identify and flag incomplete or incorrect information for follow-up
  • Maintain high productivity while meeting quality standards
  • Support staffing initiatives, including training and mentoring team members to achieve performance goals
  • Follow established procedures and guidelines for claim submissions
  • Handle confidential information with integrity and discretion
  • Comply with data integrity and security policies
  • Works autonomously within established procedures
  • Perform other clerical or administrative tasks as needed
  • High school diploma or GED required 
  • Extensive experience working with Montana Medicaid with proven QA scores
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft
  • Have prior office or administrative experience
  • Have an ability to communicate clearly and professionally with co-workers, clients, and providers
  • Have attention to detail, grammar, and spelling accuracy skill set

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or GED required 
  • Extensive experience working with Montana Medicaid with proven QA scores
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft
  • Have prior office or administrative experience
  • Have an ability to communicate clearly and professionally with co-workers, clients, and providers
  • Have attention to detail, grammar, and spelling accuracy skill set
  • Be able to successfully pass a pre-employment screening and drug test

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with claims management systems or HER platforms is preferred
  • Knowledge of healthcare or insurance terminology is preferred

In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive.
