Job Summary:

Wiley Drilling is seeking a highly motivated and versatile drill helper, laborer, or similar skillset to join our team. Our ideal candidate would enjoy physical outdoor work, capable of troubleshooting hydraulic and diesel mechanics and is willing to transition into operating drilling equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize effective written and oral communication. 
  • Lifting and handling of drill tooling and materials.
  • Operate drilling equipment for environmental and geotechnical investigations.
  • Operate heavy equipment and construction tools.
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Travel to WILEY job sites.
  • Be safety conscious at all times.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid Driver’s License and insurability under company policy required.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must pass a pre-employment DOT physical.
  • Must be able to obtain a Class B CDL with Airbrake Endorsement within the first 6 months of employment.
  • Must be willing to learn to operate drilling equipment using direct push and rotary tooling.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Experience in construction labor, ranch work, or similar. 
  • OSHA HAZWOPER Certification
  • CPR/First Aid Training
  • Class B CDL
  • Experience operating heavy machinery
  • Welding skills
  • Mechanic skills
  • Problem solving

Work Environment:

  • Combination of shop work and fieldwork in various conditions.
  • Will require travel to multiple sites or remote locations.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary will be based on qualifications and experience. WILEY offers a competitive benefit package that includes health, dental, vision, and life insurance.
