What You’ll Do

As a Float Pool RN on the Night Shift team, you’ll provide exceptional care while supporting various departments throughout the hospital. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Applying the nursing process to deliver high-quality, patient- and family-centered care across multiple units through assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Collecting, verifying, and organizing patient health information to support informed clinical decisions and effective treatment
  • Delivering direct patient care in a clinical setting while collaborating closely with the Unit Director, Manager, and Charge Nurse to ensure quality outcomes
  • Conducting thorough patient assessments and maintains timely, accurate documentation in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborating effectively with physicians, colleagues, and cross-functional teams to promote a positive and patient-focused care environment.
  • Maintaining competency and flexibility to support multiple specialty areas, including
    • Behavioral Health
    • Clinical Decision Unit
    • Either Intensive Care Unit (ICU) as the second RN or
    • Women's & Children's Services (Couplet Care and Pediatric Psych)
  • Adapting quickly to changing patient needs and clinical environments

What We’re Looking For

  • Active Montana Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Minimum of two years of acute care RN experience required
  • Ability to independently manage responsibilities within a Float Pool/Patient Care Services role
  • Strong critical thinking and adaptability in fast-paced settings
  • Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills
  • BLS certification required
  • ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire
  • Certification in Med/Surg and/or Geriatric Nursing preferred
