Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our healthcare team. The CMA will support physicians, nurses, and other medical staff by performing a variety of clinical and administrative duties to ensure efficient and effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and prepare patients for examinations and procedures

  • Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and patient information

  • Assist with clinical procedures such as injections, EKGs, and specimen collection

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic health systems

  • Schedule appointments, manage phone calls, and handle patient inquiries

  • Coordinate prescription refills and prior authorizations with pharmacies and insurance providers

  • Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and properly equipped

  • Comply with all healthcare regulations and confidentiality requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program

  • Current CMA certification 

  • CPR certification

  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills

  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems

Work Environment:
This role may require standing for extended periods, assisting with minor medical procedures, and interacting with a diverse patient population in a fast-paced clinical setting.
