The Staff Pad is partnering with a healthcare organization in Helena, MT, to hire an Orthopedic Clinic Technician for their orthopedic care team. This position assists physicians with both surgical and non-surgical procedures while delivering direct and indirect patient care. This is a hands-on clinical role where you help patients recover mobility, manage injuries, and move smoothly through their treatment journey—from initial evaluation through recovery.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you’ll be a key support partner to orthopedic physicians and the clinical care team. Your work helps ensure procedures run smoothly and patients receive safe, consistent, and well-coordinated care.

You will:

  • Assist physicians with orthopedic procedures (both surgical and non-surgical)
  • Support fracture reductions, traction applications, and hardware removals
  • Apply, adjust, and remove casts, splints, and immobilization devices
  • Perform dressing changes and wound care support
  • Fit patients for orthopedic braces and devices, including patient education on use and care
  • Help coordinate procedure scheduling and clinic flow
  • Ensure completion of pre-surgical requirements such as testing, prior authorizations, and care coordination
  • Contribute to a smooth, efficient, and patient-centered orthopedic clinic experience

What We’re Looking For

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current BLS certification

  • Experience in a hospital, or orthopedic clinic, or sports medicine setting
  • Degree in Athletic Training
