We are seeking a Laboratory Phlebotomist to join our client's team in Helena, MT. This role is responsible for collecting specimens from patients of all ages and ensuring proper documentation, labeling, and transportation of those specimens. The Phlebotomist will also provide patients with accurate collection instructions and use the laboratory information system for test ordering and verification of medical necessity. Key Responsibilities: Perform specimen collection (venipuncture and other methods) on patients of all ages Document collection details and order tests in the laboratory information system Assess specimen labeling, quality, and acceptability Provide clear instructions for patient-collected specimens Transport specimens to appropriate testing areas Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain professionalism in all interactions Qualifications: High school diploma or GED preferred Phlebotomy training from an accredited program preferred College coursework in anatomy, medical technology, or patient care is a plus Previous experience in clinical phlebotomy strongly preferred ASCP Phlebotomy certification preferred Required Skills: Strong customer service and communication skills, including phone etiquette Excellent organizational skills and independent judgment Flexibility to adapt to changing workflow and locations Team player with empathy and a focus on patient satisfaction
