This position is responsible for supervision of Toddlers ages 19 months to 3 year old and requires flexibility to work in all classrooms based off the needs of the center.  

Under general supervision and according to specific procedures, this position assists the Lead Teacher (ECLT) in the responsibility of planning and executing classroom activities, assisting in the maintenance of a safe, healthy and stimulating classroom environment, providing constant supervision of toddlers at all times including planning time, outside play, meal time, and nap time. This position maintains sensitivity to the children’s individuality and responds to those needs appropriately and quickly by guiding the behavior of infants in positive and effective ways.  This position maintains the highest level of professionalism at all times. This position encourages experimentation, exploration, problem solving, cooperation, and socialization to promote further learning and thinking. This position helps the ECLT prepare the classroom environment and materials to support developmentally appropriate curriculum plans and learning experiences. This position helps in assessing individual and group needs, attending to specific interests, strengths and concerns. This position coordinates with ECLT when indicated, developing a collaborative approach that benefits all children in classroom.  This position monitors for and reports child abuse. This position attends and participates in trainings and appropriate professional development activities. This position attends and participates in meetings. This position engages in ongoing self-assessment about job performance. This position helps to assist with cleaning duties. This position follows State Licensing Regulation, Health Department and Fire Marshal Standards, CACFP requirements and STARS to Quality Standards for our current Level.
