Job Summary:
The Lube and Tire Technician is responsible for performing basic maintenance services on vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and inspections. The role requires attention to detail and adherence to company and manufacturer standards to ensure vehicle safety and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform oil changes, tire rotations, and other routine maintenance services.
  • Inspect vehicles for additional service needs and report findings to the Service Advisor.
  • Check and replenish vehicle fluids, including engine oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid, and coolant.
  • Replace air filters, wiper blades, and other basic components as needed.
  • Operate tire machines, balancers, and other shop equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and in good working condition.
  • Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Communicate effectively with the Service Manager and Service Advisors regarding vehicle status and any additional work required.
  • Provide excellent customer service by explaining services performed and any recommended future maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in automotive maintenance or tire services is preferred but not required.
  • Basic mechanical skills and knowledge of vehicle systems.
  • Ability to operate shop equipment and hand tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and work in various positions for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in a shop environment with exposure to various weather conditions and automotive fluids.

Working Hours:
This position may require working various shifts, including evenings and weekends, based on business needs.
