General Purpose
The Housekeeping Aide performs a variety of duties for the cleaning and maintenance of KPC facilities. Assists in the receiving, distribution and accounting of clean linen and wearing apparel.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities in qualifying. A typical way would be:
Education
Less than High School
Experience/Requirements:
Onātheājob training, preferred knowledge of basic cleaning skills
OR BY LEVEL OF EXPERIENCE AS FOLLOWS:Ā
No previous experience required
Must meet state labor laws if operating equipment
KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES
Ā Knowledge of:
Ā Absentee replacement of short notice
Ā Exposure to infections and contagious diseases
Ā Regular exposure to the risk of blood borne pathogens
Ā Hazardous anesthetic agents, body fluids and wastes
Ā Hazards from electrical/mechanical/power equipment
Ā Housekeeping/cleaning agents/chemicals
Ā Ability to:
Ā Follow simple instructions
Ā Keep simple records of job duties and reports as directed
Ā Maintain compliance with principles of acted conduct
Ā Communicate effectively with co-workers and management staff
Housekeeping Aid, Full-time Evenings - Holidays and weekends required
