Production Technician - Line Lead

Position Summary: 

Forestry Head Group Lead will be proficient in all positions within the line assigned and will lead the team.  This position will coordinate, plan and train department requirements by providing clear written and verbal instruction to group members and promptly addressing any questions or concerns.  This position will report to our Production Supervisor.

Essential Functions of the Job:

• Must be proficient in all areas of the department 
• Previous experience with Tree Care line
• Encourage a team environment
• Set team expectations, providing the necessary resources to make meet deadlines
• Guide employees through problem solving and process improvements
• Lead and mentor employees
• Lead daily safety discussions, monitor and sustain safe work areas
• Basic knowledge of problem-solving tools for Continuous Improvement
• Enforce all company policies, procedures and rules
• Use continuous improvement methods for sustaining and improving quality
• Ensure work areas are kept clean and organized
• Must be willing to be First Aid/CPR/AED trained (at company expense)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s):

Must have proven excellent attendance with the company

Must have no corrective action write ups within the last year

Must be acceptance of ongoing change and ability to adapt to working in different departments, sometimes daily

Basic knowledge of outlook, Word, Excel, JDE

Must be experienced in blue print reading, assembly and welding skills

Must be multitask oriented, organized, able to set priorities, and meet deadlines

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years of employment experience at Morbark
