Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site, role for a Land Use and Zoning Associate at Forchelli Deegan Terrana LLP with 0-3 years of experience. The Associate will be responsible for handling day-to-day tasks related to land use and zoning matters. This includes conducting legal research, drafting documents, preparing applications and permits, attending meetings and presenting applications at hearings, and providing legal counsel to clients in matters related to land use and zoning matters.

 

Qualifications

  • Background in Real Estate Law, zoning experience a strong plus, but will train the right candidate
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with clients and colleagues
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the bar in New York State
  • Prior experience or internship in land use and zoning law is a plus
  • Successfully completing Land Use and Zoning courses during tenure in law school a plus
