Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Auditor in Elmont, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming experience through strong customer service and communication. In this role, you will contribute to a caring culture built on teamwork, integrity, and reliable service while bringing an agile and innovative approach to daily responsibilities.

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and customer assistance practices at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site contacts and/or local authorities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout storefronts, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, assist with loss prevention awareness, and document daily activities, incidents, and/or policy violations according to post instructions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
