Come join us at our new 2.4 million square foot factory in Henderson, NV.    A CNC Machinist 1 sets-up and operates CNC & manual machines to produce parts per specifications during production operations.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Follow safety requirements within the department. Access and understand daily and weekly schedules. Find, read and follow work instructions displayed electronically (iPad). Inspect machined part. Correctly use all precision measuring instruments to verify part integrity. Correctly load and unload parts. Set and manage tools including knowledge of tool life and tool wear. Make any machine adjustment to maintain part integrity. Restart the machines at the required place in the operation. Set-up machines and produce good parts when given programs, fixtures and a tool list. Train Operators to run the machines and produce good parts upon completion of a set-up. Troubleshoot some technical issues. Maintain machines (oils, coolant, filters, and cleanliness). Must be able to operate both powered and non-powered material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jack, cranes, and mobile straddle stacker lift. Employees must report any damage to a supervisor or manager. • Employees are expected to follow instructions, procedures and to escalate any issue impacting workflow, quality, etc. • Employees must exhibit honesty and integrity as well as demonstrate adherence to rules, procedures and policies.   Supervisory Responsibilities Supervisory Responsibilities Supervised Employees This job does not have any supervisory activities. 0 Qualifications Qualifications To perform this job successfully the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty adequately. Basic understanding of CNC programming if applicable. Desired Qualifications   Education High school diploma or high school equivalency (HSE) credential such as general education degree (GED) is required, plus an additional one to three months related experience, training and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Major Other Minimum Years of Experience 5-10 years   Language Skills Must have the ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions and safety rules; such as work instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English. Must be able to effectively present information to the following: in a one-on-one setting or small group situations for our customers, clients, and/or other employees of the organization.   Mathematical Skills Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must have the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. May need to draw and interpret graphs.   Reasoning Ability Must have the ability to apply common sense and understanding in order to carry out written, oral, and/or diagram instruction forms.
