Job Summary This candidate will be responsible for operating press brake machinery to bend and shape sheet metal components with precision and efficiency. This role requires a strong understanding of fabrication processes, blueprint reading, and quality inspection to ensure products meet specifications. Responsibilities Set up and operate press brake machines to produce accurate bends according to technical drawings and specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine bending angles, dimensions, and tooling requirements. Adjust machine settings, including tonnage, back gauge position, and bend sequences for optimal performance. Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on press brake equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances of finished parts. Select appropriate tooling and fixtures for each job, ensuring proper alignment and safety procedures are followed. Collaborate with team members on fabrication projects involving CNC laser cutting, CNC programming, welding, machining, and assembly. Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety standards and quality control procedures. Conduct quality inspections throughout the production process to identify defects or deviations from specifications. Experience Proficiency in operating press brake machines with a solid understanding of sheet metal fabrication techniques. Experience with CNC laser cutting, CNC programming, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe, plasma cutting, electrical discharge machining (EDM), stamping presses, and welding is highly desirable. Mechanical knowledge related to tooling setup, calibration, and maintenance of fabrication equipment. Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications. Familiarity with basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations in fabrication processes. Competence in using hand tools, precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, micrometer gauges, and other quality inspection tools. Knowledge of safety protocols involving cranes, forklifts, sheet metal handling equipment, and other manufacturing machinery. Strong understanding of manufacturing principles including machining, fabrication, assembly processes, and quality control standards. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Qualifications
