Role description:

The Packaging, Carton, and Scheduling Manager is responsible for scheduling production for all glass container lines and ordering all the required packaging materials required to meet customer requirements. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Organize and direct the carton department ensuring quality cartons are produced for the packing department that is within customer specifications and Ardagh Glass Packaging quality management systems
  • Coordinate repacks and reselection of the container by outside warehouse
  • Track daily production to ensure adherence to the production schedule
  • Maintain accurate cardboard inventory and location
  • Generate and maintain container and cardboard scrap requests
  • Maintain accurate and updated specification files for cartons
  • Monitor and reduce scrap generated in the packaging process
  • Develop sustainable relationships with outside suppliers to ensure materials are up to standard
  • Comply with environmental and food safety standards as outlined in plant policies within the department
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

 

Minimum skills / qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Three (3) years of experience in manufacturing
  • One (1) year of experience in inventories
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel up to 5%

 

Preferred skills / qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field
  • Prior experience with SAP
  • Prior experience with food safety
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification
  • Prior experience working with lean manufacturing, kaizens, and 5S
