SUMMARY Â
Mortenson is currently seeking a CDL Class A Driver / Laborer that will be responsible for operating trucks as directed and specified while adhering to all rules and regulations as mandated by Mortenson safety policies and procedures.Â
Â
RESPONSIBILITIESÂ
- Operate the following trucks based on project requirements: Water Truck, Dump Truck, Haul Truck, Tractor Trailer/LowboyÂ
- Follow prescribed safety regulationsÂ
- Ensure housekeeping is maintained in a clear and orderly fashion in assigned areaÂ
- Perform routine maintenance including lubricating, fueling, and cleaningÂ
- Observe equipment operation to detect machine malfunctionsÂ
- Follow work plans and pre-task cardsÂ
- Build and maintain effective relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds and organizational levelsÂ
- Perform all other duties as assignedÂ

QUALIFICATIONSÂ
- CDL Class A
- Related construction experience preferredÂ
- Current driver’s license of proper classification and necessary endorsements as required by lawÂ
- Strong teamwork orientationÂ
- Positive attitude and professional customer service skillsÂ
- Detail orientationÂ
- Ability to move levers, shift gears, depress pedals, and maneuver steering wheel to operate equipmentÂ
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and load chartsÂ
- Knowledge of equipment and their usesÂ
- Understand and apply basic mathematical skills (adding, subtracting, division, and multiplication)Â
- Ability to work independentlyÂ
- Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedbackÂ
- Repetitive hand, arm, leg movementsÂ
- *Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.Â

**for CA, CO, WA, MN only** The base pay range for this role is $26.00- $32.00 per hour. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).Â
