Job Summary
The Chemist I conducts applications testing and provides formulation expertise on supplier materials and customer products and provides product support for sales and marketing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Safely perform physical testing of chemicals/ingredients
Evaluate the physical and chemical properties of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods in accordance with approved procedures.
Maintains cleanliness of the lab as well as other routine laboratory tasks.
Provide quality testing, sampling, analysis, formulation, characterization to ensure quality/standards are being met.
Document quality activities to prove a record of quality compliance efforts
Conducts quality control testing and recertification of products as necessary.
Produces document(s) to communicate lab results.
Participates in joint sales calls and conference calls with sales representatives at customers.
Participates in principal/vendor visits and conference calls to present lab findings and recommendations.

Education / Experience
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field or commensurate of education and experience.
Two years of laboratory experience preferred
