Our Mission: Building the nation’s preeminent eye care services company by partnering with world class physicians to drive superior clinical and surgical outcomes, while optimizing the patient experience.    Position Summary  Our Director of Revenue Cycle Management is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all revenue cycle functions across all clinics. This role ensures accurate billing, timely collections, and compliance with payer requirements while managing centralized support for insurance authorizations and patient financial services. The position also requires strategic leadership and operational excellence.    Roles and Responsibilities  Oversee the full revenue cycle strategy and operations, including eligibility verification, authorizations, charge entry, claims submission, payment posting, accounts receivable, denials, and appeals.  Ensure that all revenue cycle activities assigned, are conducted in compliance with all state and federal regulations, and ensure staff are properly educated to accomplish this requirement, through training and written policies and procedures.  Develop actionable RCM reporting to translate complex data into root-cause solutions, providing C-suite leadership with direct visibility into revenue health, trends, and growth opportunities.  Track and monitor key performance metrics related to financial, quality, and productivity. Identify, analyze, and recommend performance enhancement initiatives.  Lead efforts in interviewing, selecting, training, and assigning department members to create a highly effective RCM Team.  Develop and implement staffing plans within related budgets to achieve financial metrics.  Perform other related duties as assigned.    Experience Requirements  Minimum of 6 years of revenue cycle management experience, including at least 3 years leading an RCM, billing, or healthcare finance function.  Deep understanding of the full revenue cycle, including eligibility, authorizations, claims, denial management, appeals, and accounts receivable.  Demonstrated success improving collections, reducing AR aging, and lowering denial rates.  Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to own financial outcomes.  Comfortable operating both strategically and tactically within a fast-paced, growing organization.  Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, including PivotTables, lookup functions, formulas, data manipulation, reconciliation, and analysis of large data sets.  Experience with practice management and EHR systems; ModMed experience is preferred.    Education Requirements  Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or a similar discipline is strongly preferred, along with medical billing and accounts receivable experience.    Physical Demands  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit.
