POSITION SUMMARY
This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting directly to the Housekeeping Shift Supervisor and/or, in their absence, to the Facilities Maintenance Director, Assistant Director, or Housekeeping Manager. This position serves as a Facilities Housekeeper/Floor Care Technician for Sun City Anthem Community Association.
The role is responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness, safety, and appearance of all facilities, including clubrooms, common areas, and flooring surfaces. This includes general custodial duties as well as specialized floor care functions such as auto-scrubbing, stripping, waxing, carpet care, and operation of cleaning equipment.
The position plays a key role in ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors, while performing all duties in accordance with Association standards, safety protocols, and operational expectations.Â

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential responsibilities may include; but are not limited to the following:
General Custodial & Housekeeping Duties
- Perform custodial services across all facilities, including indoor and outdoor assigned areasÂ
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, wipe surfaces, clean restrooms, locker rooms, and shower areasÂ
- Empty trash receptacles and maintain cleanliness of common areasÂ
- Clean glass, mirrors, furniture, and fixturesÂ
- Stock and maintain supplies in restrooms and locker roomsÂ
- Perform light maintenance duties, as neededÂ
Floor Care & Specialized Cleaning
- Perform floor maintenance including auto-scrubbing, stripping, waxing, buffing, and polishing, as scheduled.Â
- Maintain and restore flooring surfaces to ensure cleanliness, safety, and appearanceÂ
- Perform carpet care including spot cleaning, extraction, shampooing, and deodorizingÂ
- Address stains and high-traffic areas using appropriate cleaning methods and solutionsÂ
Equipment Operation & Maintenance
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment including auto scrubbers, buffers, burnishers, extractors, vacuums, and other custodial toolsÂ
- Perform routine equipment checks and minor maintenance to ensure proper functionalityÂ
- Utilize cleaning chemicals in accordance with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and company proceduresÂ
Safety, Compliance & Emergency Response
- Perform emergency clean-up, including biohazards and broken glassÂ
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)Â
- Adhere to all Association policies, procedures, and safety guidelinesÂ
- Maintain awareness of surroundings and report safety hazards, maintenance issues, or unusual conditions to supervisorsÂ
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of cleaning materials and chemicalsÂ
Team Support & Operational Responsibilities
- Coordinate with housekeeping and facilities teams to prioritize and complete assignmentsÂ
- Document completed work, maintain logs/checklists, and communicate updates or issues to supervisorsÂ
- Assist with housekeeping and departmental projects as neededÂ
- Demonstrate reliable attendance and flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidaysÂ
- Check and respond to communications (email, radio, etc.) as requiredÂ
Customer Service & Community Engagement
- Provide professional and courteous service to residents, guests, and staffÂ
- Maintain a positive attitude and respond appropriately to requests and concernsÂ
- Support the mission, values, and service standards of the Association
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

WORKING CONDITIONS
This position is primarily performed indoors, with occasional work outdoors as needed. Indoor work is conducted under standard lighting conditions, while outdoor work may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, including wind, rain, cold, wet, and extreme heat.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- High School Graduate or its equivalent.
- Previous work experience in maintenance or custodial field preferred.
- Possess a valid Nevada Driver’s License
- Valid Nevada state issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
