Get to Know Your Team: 

  • UT Health Henderson features 41 operational beds, a 24-hour ED, designated as a Level IV trauma center and acute stroke ready facility with surgical suites, advanced diagnostic technology, a maternity unit, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, wound healing center and an AASM-accredited sleep center.

Responsibilities

  • To work under the general supervision of the clinical director (MD, DO, or PhD) or designee to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders.
  • This may involve polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services or patient care and education.
  • A Polysomnographic Technologist can perform the duties define for a Polysomnographic Technician and may provide oversight of other staff.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:  

  • Successful completion of an accredited educational program leading to an associate degree with an emphasis in polysomnography
  • OR
  • Successful completion of a polysomnography program of no less than one-year duration associated with a state licensed and/or a nationally accredited educational facility of equivalent experience and documented proficiency at all competencies requires of a Polysomnographic Technician
  • Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or equivalent.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred job Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year experience as a Polysomnographic Technician with documented proficiency in all required competencies.
