The role you’ll contribute:

 

Responsible for coordinating all activities related to sterilization, decontamination, and disinfection for the assigned shift. This position completes staff evaluations, monthly schedules, and performance improvement activities for the department. This role helps oversee the orientation of new employees. In addition, this position acts as a liaison between Central Services and other hospital departments to ensure the availability of instrumentation and equipment for patient care. This role actively participates in outstanding customer service and maintains respectful relationships.

  • Utilize instrument tracking system for reports and quality feedback. 
  • Maintains competency by attending continuing education seminars and in-services on new equipment and instrumentation.
  • Communicates with vendors to promote compliance with policy and reports non-compliance to leadership.
  • Identifies and reports any environmental concerns to the management team.
  • Assures that the manufacturer instructions for use are closely followed for all equipment and instruments that are reprocessed.


The expertise and experience you’ll need to succeed:

 

  • High School Grad or Equivalent [Required]
  • 1+ year of experience [Required]
  • Certified Registered Central Service Tech (CRCST) [Required] OR
  • Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) [Required]
