This position will be based at the BorgWarner Arden facility in Western North Carolina and will transition to a new facility in Hendersonville, NC.

Job Purpose and Key Responsibilities

The Master Production Scheduler will be responsible for the development and ownership of the master production schedule covering all critical manufacturing resources and ensuring that the plan:
Fulfills all internal and external customer demand.
Is balanced with resources and available capacity (Machine and/or Labor).
Ensure that there is cross-functional involvement / alignment with all key stakeholders.
Production management/ME concerning resource capability/capacity, labor availability/working calendar and demonstrated performance.
Support of Program Management concerning new parts PPAP, run at rate, product launch and End-of-Life planning.
Designs and develops the production schedule plan considering all aspects of production including low cost, timeliness, efficiency, plant capacity, and customer fulfillment.
Plan and schedule production sequence for each department and operation to maintain/improve established manufacturing workflow and efficiency utilizing the Master Production Schedule
Coordinate/expedite manufacturing releases/builds to ensure production schedules are achieved, as well as ensuring on-time shipment to customer.
Monitors the production plan daily to ensure it fully supports the Master Production Schedule and continually meets customer service goals, operational targets, inventory levels, and capacity utilization objectives.
Runs daily production reports to review open sales orders, monitors backlog, identifies shortages and/or production issues
Revise schedules to accommodate demand fluctuation, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions.
Forecasts the aggregate production requirements for the plant; monitoring the production workloads and capacities; producing a master production schedule to control and pace both internal production and the external supply chain.
Provides timely information to management team and/or production personnel regarding schedule changes or revisions that have immediate or long-range impact to the facility.
Works with Manufacturing/Operations on Master Production Schedule load versus work area capacity. Identify overload situations and work together to reconcile production while meeting business objectives.
Communicates inabilities to meet desired production targets and identifies solutions to correct the plan to adhere to Master Schedule.
Reviews material requirements planning accuracy through exception processing; resolve and manage data integrity issues in a timely manner.
Responsible for reporting monthly production volumes and details to plant management and operations team; takes action to realign plan if production volumes are off target
Perform other duties as needed.
What We're Looking For
5+ years of experience in production planning/scheduling in a manufacturing environment
3+ years of experience interfacing with suppliers and managing supplier demand
BA/BS degree in supply chain, business management, or equivalent business discipline
Proven ability to structure and conduct advanced supply chain analyses within SAP or other ERP systems, in the areas of inventory management, production planning, capacity planning, product launch planning, forecasting, and BOM documentation
Demonstrated experience in managing the supplier interface – forecasting, order fulfillment, supplier collaboration, relationship building and problem resolution
Proficient in Excel (ex: able to use filters, pivot tables and V/H-Lookups to efficiently analyze and manipulate spreadsheet data)
Preferred Experience:Â
Experience with greenfield start-up environment
Leadership experience or leadership aspirations
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent interpersonal skills
Strong analytical skills:Â able to work with large data extracts, creating formats and formulas to obtain data based next step solutions
Power BI experience
Ability to function in a fast-paced multi-task environment
Must be able to set priorities and demonstrate a high level of organization in an environment of constant changes
Must be innovative, assertive, and possess strong business acumen
Accuracy, attention to detail, and strong understand of ERP, MRP, MPS. SAP preferred
Strong teamwork skills including cross-functional collaboration
Must be able to work in a team environment
