Relationship Banker
As a Relationship Banker, you will be responsible for building, expanding, and retaining client relationships while providing an exceptional customer experience. Relationship Bankers provide financial solutions to existing and prospective clients by assessing their financial needs and recommending bank products and services that support their current and future financial goals. Relationship Bankers actively promote financial solutions to existing customers and prospects through daily interactions, outbound calling efforts, business visits, networking events, and periodic “At Work” events. Relationship Bankers are expected to meet and/or exceed established individual and branch goals. They may also assist clients with account service and maintenance requests, teller transactions, problem resolution, and other transactional needs. Relationship Bankers are expected to serve as professional, positive bank ambassadors while meeting and exceeding customer expectations. All Relationship Banker positions will receive the same training on required products, services, needs-based conversations, and other tools necessary to perform the role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Share and recommend the bank’s full range of resources with customers, including traditional in-branch services, digital capabilities, and business partner resources.
- Meet individual goals through required levels of in-person and outbound calling activities that create opportunities to provide valued solutions and recommendations using a needs-based approach.
- Perform all functions related to opening and closing accounts, including assisting customers with appropriate account selection, researching customer accounts, and complying with BSA and CIP requirements.
- Facilitate consumer loan requests by soliciting loan opportunities, maintaining knowledge of loan policies and procedures, and assisting with branch consumer loan portfolios.
- Identify customer needs and refer customers to the appropriate partner-centric team, including small business, corporate and institutional banking, mortgage, and financial advisory partners.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by engaging customers and providing an optimal customer experience.
- Ensure all departmental documents and activities are completed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, including completion of required compliance training.
- Process teller transactions for customers in a positive, accurate, and professional manner.
- Process customer requests in a positive, accurate, and professional manner while engaging in genuine conversation to identify needs and recommend solutions.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or GED.
- One to two years of customer-facing, goal-oriented experience.
Computer Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
- Ability to understand and utilize social media platforms to support brand awareness and obtain market knowledge.
Other Qualifications (including physical requirements)
- Occasional travel for meetings, training, bank conversion, and acquisition support.
- Ability to provide support and guidance at other branches within the market.
- Must be able to present a friendly, professional image.
