Job SummaryÂ
The Development Coordinator is a detail-oriented and collaborative professional with a growth mindset. This position assists in raising financial support to meet the organization's goals through corporate and individual funding sources, foundations, and events. The ideal candidate will have experience in database management, special events, and general fundraising activities.Â
Essential Functions
- Assist in the foundation’s day-to-day fundraising efforts
- Record donations, pledge payments, etc. in donor database
- Update and manage donor database
- Generate receipts and donor acknowledgments for all contributionsÂ
- Generate regular, detailed reports to the Director of DevelopmentÂ
- Prepare and submit invoices for approvalÂ
- Coordinate the production of fundraising materials
- Assist with grant proposals and outcome reports
- Prepare materials for the Development Committee meetings, including agendas, taking and sharing minutes, and other administrative duties
- Develop and maintain an annual development calendar
- Conduct research on individual, corporate, and foundation prospects
- Collect data from various programs and departments
- Provide administrative support to the Director of DevelopmentÂ
- Oversee inventory and order materials and supplies for development officeÂ
- Support publicity, registration, and logistics for HEF special events and PR initiatives, serving as a point of contact for vendors, sponsors, speakers, and registrants
- Record and track event data, constituent information, and sponsorship recognition commitments
- Track and ensure sponsorship recognition commitments are fulfilled
- Prior experience in fund development and special eventsÂ
- Preferred experience in donor management software, data management, and data entry (preferably Raiser’s Edge NXT)
- Task-focused, self-directed, collaborative, and flexible, with the ability to learn quickly and develop creative solutions

- Excellent computer skills related to the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Ability to work nights and weekends on rare occasions as required
