Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking an Engineering Technician C, Electrical Engineering to perform test engineering support in an automated electronic factory, building secure military radios at our Rochester, NY Jefferson location.

Essential Functions:

  • Performs troubleshooting and preventative maintenance of complex digital and RF fixtures, including dismantling, adjusting, repairing, calibrating, aligning, assembling, and operating according to engineering drawings, schematics, and documentation.
  • First line of defense in resolving daily test issues impacting troubleshoot, environmental, or up flow test for manufacturing and operations.
  • Monitors station utilization and downtime and reports out to the TE Lead.
  • Assists manufacturing technicians by answering questions and providing training on test systems and troubleshooting tools.
  • Create/Update station documentation items such as MTP鈥檚, Station BOM鈥檚, AMR鈥檚, and TSW鈥檚.
  • Works in conjunction with PM coordinator and Calibration Monitor to maintain proper spare parts inventory for the FF test stations.

Qualifications:

聽聽聽聽聽聽 High School Diploma or equivalent with 6 years prior experience, 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 2 years prior experience

Preferred Additional Skills:

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Understanding of manufacturing systems, production processes technical standards and equipment.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Understanding of Harris RF New and Legacy products

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Minimum of 2 years of experience reading schematics and troubleshooting to component level

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Minimum of 1 year of experience MS Word and Excel

聽聽聽聽聽聽 2 yrs. experience with LabView

聽聽聽聽聽聽 2 yrs. experience with internal and external customers

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, thesalary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, Vermont and Virginia is聽$54,500 - $101,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
