Position Overview:

We are hiring a Skilled Maintenance Technician to support production and facility equipment on our off shift. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical, electrical, and controls-related systems to keep equipment running and minimize downtime. The work includes a mix of electrical troubleshooting, mechanical repair, and preventive maintenance on production equipment, support systems, and facility infrastructure. You will be expected to work independently, diagnose issues quickly, and complete repairs with minimal supervision.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues on production and facility equipment.
  • Diagnose equipment problems in a manufacturing environment and restore equipment to service.
  • Perform electrical troubleshooting on industrial control systems and power distribution equipment (up to 480V 3-phase).
  • Work with basic and advanced electrical circuits including sensors, motors, relays, and control devices.
  • Support and troubleshoot automated equipment and production machinery (training provided on specific systems).
  • Perform preventive maintenance including inspection, lubrication, adjustments, and replacement of worn components.
  • Repair and maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
  • Use standard electrical and mechanical test equipment (multimeter, amp meter, etc.).
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment manual.s
  • Assist with troubleshooting of automated systems and control interfaces (PLC/HMI experience helpful, not required)
  • Support calibration and verification of basic process instruments (temperature, pressure, flow, etc.)
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and support safe, timely restoration of production.
  • Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and all site safety procedures.
  • Document work performed and communicate issues clearly to team members.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing, facilities, or similar environment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability in a production environment.
  • Experience working with industrial equipment such as motors, drives, sensors, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals.
  • Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including 120/240V and 480V 3-phase power.
  • Experience diagnosing equipment failures and performing timely mechanical or electrical repairs.
  • Ability to work independently on off-shifts with minimal supervision.
  • Basic understanding of industrial safety practices, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
  • Ability to communicate clearly with team members regarding equipment status, repairs, and issues.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on, practical approach to troubleshooting.

  • The job may involve prolong periods of sitting/standing.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. May involve prolonged periods of magnified inspection (eye strain).
  • Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp.
  • The employee is frequently required to use the computer.
  • May involve the use of oils and solvents.
  • Subject to some soilage and irritation from cleaning solutions. (Lab Coats provided)
  • Generally works in a clean environment and works to maintain the environment as such.
  • Safety Glasses are required and May require area specific safety training
  • This position works in a manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. 
  • The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne paper particles

May work at different workstations as production needs require, or shifts from one station to another, during the production process.

This position is available on B Shift or C Shift. All new hires will begin on A Shift (day shift) for 4–6 weeks of training before transitioning to their assigned off-shift.

A Shift (Training Period): Day shift, Monday–Friday (schedule may vary slightly based on training needs)
Duration: 4–6 weeks
Purpose: Hands-on training with equipment, processes, and maintenance systems before working independently on off-shift
B Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Includes a 5% shift differential
C Shift: Sunday–Thursday, 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
Includes a 10% shift differential
