L3Harris Tactical Communications seeking a Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer to support our connector/cable sourcing team.  Successful candidates will have a technical background with experience in electromechanical assembly and quality.  This role requires the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stake holders.  Experience with quality systems/tools including APQP, PPAP, and part qualification desired.Â

Essential Functions:
Â

Collaborate with suppliers to reduce variability, increase reliability and ensure on-time delivery.  Â

Focus on problem prevention, supplier quality control, continuous improvement, and data reporting. Â

Facilitate Part/Process Qualification through FAI and PPAP. Â

Manage material Inspection Plans and methods for production material. Â

Collaborate with engineering, suppliers, and manufacturing for smooth transitions from concept to production. Â

Willingness to travel (25% or more), primarily domestic.  Â

Position requires a minimum of a BS degree (Engineering or STEM)  Â

Qualifications:
Â
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:
Â
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment. Â
- ​Experience with connectors and cables.Â
- ​Experience in Six Sigma, Lean methodologies, Corrective & Preventive Action, and Root Cause Analysis. Â

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York state, is $84,000 to $156,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
