Description :

The Senior Director, Pricing Strategy & Operations is the architect of DBV's pricing and contracting strategy for Viaskin® Peanut, reporting directly to the SVP, Market Access. This role owns the full pricing lifecycle — from list price recommendation and gross-to-net modeling through payer and PBM contract design, rebate architecture, and ongoing contract compliance — ensuring DBV's pricing strategy is defensible, financially sustainable, and structured to drive broad, durable formulary access for a first-in-class pediatric biologic.

This individual works at the intersection of Market Access, Finance, and Legal, translating complex pricing and contracting decisions into clear frameworks that the Account Management and Payer Marketing teams can execute against in the field. The ideal candidate is a seasoned pricing and contracting professional with deep experience in specialty or biologic gross-to-net strategy, Medicaid best price and government pricing compliance, and payer contract negotiation.

Location : Warren, New Jersey - 3 days on site

Salary Range : $240-270K

Key Responsibilities :

Pricing Strategy & Architecture

Develop DBV's list price recommendation and overall pricing architecture for Viaskin® Peanut, incorporating competitive benchmarking and payer sensitivity analysis.

Design the gross-to-net strategy across commercial, Medicaid, and government channels, balancing net revenue objectives against access and formulary competitiveness goals.

Partner with the SVP, Market Access and CCO to present pricing strategy and gross-to-net forecasts to the Executive Committee and Board of Directors.

Monitor competitive pricing actions and federal/state policy developments (e.g., Medicaid Drug Rebate Program) affecting pricing strategy; recommend adjustments proactively.

Contract Negotiations & Rebate Management

Design DBV's payer and PBM contracting framework, including rebate structures, utilization management conditions, and outcomes-based contracting arrangements.

Lead or directly support high-complexity national payer and PBM contract negotiations in partnership with the Head of Account Management and Corporate Account Directors.

Establish contract approval workflows, authority thresholds, and governance processes to ensure all payer contracts are reviewed for financial and compliance risk.

Maintain the master contract repository and negotiation playbook, ensuring consistency of terms across all payer agreements.

Gross-to-Net & Financial Modeling

Own the gross-to-net model for Viaskin® Peanut, partnering with Finance to ensure rebate accruals, chargebacks, and channel mix assumptions remain current and defensible.

Conduct best price and Medicaid Drug Rebate Program analysis for all proposed contract terms; ensure no contract structure creates unintended government pricing exposure.

Provide net price and gross-to-net performance reporting to the SVP, Market Access, CCO, and Finance leadership on a regular cadence.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Compliance

Partner with Legal on all payer and PBM contract language, ensuring compliance with anti-kickback, Medicaid best price, and other applicable healthcare regulations.

Partner with the Head of Account Management and Corporate Account Directors to ensure contracted terms translate into executable, field-ready access strategies.

Serve as the internal subject-matter expert on pricing and contracting policy for Market Access, Finance, Legal, and Commercial Operations.

Model and enforce full compliance with applicable laws, FDA guidelines, PhRMA Code, and government pricing requirements across all pricing and contracting activities.

Qualifications :

Required

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Life Sciences, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

12+ years of pharmaceutical or biotech experience, including 8+ years in pricing strategy, contracting, or gross-to-net management within a managed care or market access function.

Demonstrated experience designing payer/PBM contract structures, including rebate architecture and utilization management terms.

Strong working knowledge of Medicaid Best Price, Medicaid Drug Rebate Program requirements, and government pricing compliance.

Proven financial modeling skills, including gross-to-net forecasting and contract scenario analysis.

Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with Finance, Legal, and Account Management stakeholders.

Preferred

Experience with a specialty or first-in-class biologic launch, particularly one facing significant payer or PBM negotiation complexity.

Familiarity with outcomes-based or value-based contracting frameworks.

Experience in immunology, allergy, or pediatric specialty markets.

Background partnering directly with Legal on healthcare contract compliance (anti-kickback, fraud and abuse).
