Northwest Beef Express is hiring an experienced diesel tech to join our growing crew at the Hermiston shop. We've got 6 techs on the bench and the workload to add another — business is good, the rigs keep rolling, and we need another solid hand to help keep them that way.

We run a clean, well-organized, in-house fleet shop with well-maintained trucks and trailers, and we've got a dedicated tire tech on staff so our diesel techs can stay focused on real wrench work.

We're a small, family-owned ag trucking operation, and we treat our people that way. This isn't a corporate grind — it's a place where your work gets noticed, your input matters, and the person approving your paycheck knows your name.

The Schedule

• Sunday through Thursday, 6am to 4pm — Fridays and Saturdays off every week

• On-call rotation roughly every 5 weeks — and when you're up, you get $300/week on-call pay plus a guaranteed 2-hour minimum on any callout, no matter how short

What You'll Be Doing

• Working your own lined-out set of work orders each day, laid out by our service writer

• Preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on our truck and trailer fleet — engines, A/C, drivetrain, electrical, the works

• Tag-teaming bigger jobs with another tech when it makes sense

• Helping drivers get back on the road during shift change so the wheels keep turning

• Working in a fast-paced ag operation that runs 24/7 — never a boring day

Requirements

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of hands-on diesel experience

• A/C certification and the know-how to back it up

• Comfortable running diagnostics in CAT ET, Peterbilt software, Cummins Insite, and QuickServe

• Valid driver's license, insurable

• Someone who shows up, communicates straight, and takes ownership of their work
