Summary

CHS is seeking a dependable Office Administrative Assistant to join our team in Hermiston, OR. In this role, you will provide administrative support by preparing paperwork, processing weight tickets, maintaining records, ordering office supplies and production tags, and assisting with general office operations. This position offers aMonday–Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. If you're organized, detail-oriented, and enjoy supporting a fast-paced team, we encourage you to apply today.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of general administrative and clerical tasks to support daily office operations.
  • Print and prepare paperwork for customers, drivers, and internal staff.
  • Create and print feed tags for production that are attached to finished products.
  • Weigh bulk trucks in and out and accurately process weight tickets.
  • Stamp, enter, and maintain weight ticket data and other operational records.
  • Scan and file production paperwork to maintain accurate inventory documentation.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and respond to general email inquiries.
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail.
  • Order office supplies, production tags, and other office materials as needed.
  • Maintain organized filing systems and ensure accurate recordkeeping.
  • Perform light office housekeeping duties, including emptying trash, cleaning restrooms and keeping work areas clean.
  • Work with sensitive material and maintain highest level of confidentiality and integrity.
  • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
  • Perform other duties as needed or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • Knowledge of Office and Facilities Services
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Must meet minimum age requirement
  • Knowledge of Administrative Support

Additional Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Basic math skills
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons to meet business needs
  • Administrative support experience 
  • Pre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position. If required, selected candidates must pass pre-employment screenings to include all or a combination of drug, criminal, motor vehicle check, physical requirements and FMSCA Clearinghouse.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, push, and pull frequently
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
  • Ability to speak frequently

CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
